Purpose
The purpose of the assignment was to explain what customers are paying for when they pay the electricity network fee. The electricity network price is vague and often confused with the electricity price. Electricity providers can be switched, but the electricity network cannot – the electricity network is a natural geographic monopoly. The target audience here was people living within a specific geographic area covered by the electricity network. Generally, customers felt that their knowledge of this was low, so it needed to be explained in a clear and simple way.
The reliability of the electricity network is often taken for granted. The electricity network fee guarantees a reliability of 98–99% 24 hours a day—an important function for society, as many parts of it and our lives depend on it. To do this, the networks must be maintained, everything must be measurable, the technology must be renewed, etc. Hundreds of projects are staffed and monitored around the clock every day. This costs a lot of money—hence the electricity network fee.
